Weekend road trip to Delaware! Part 2.

We didn't have any concrete plans while we were visiting Ben's Grand-Mom other than actually going to Rehoboth beach, we've been to Delaware several times and always stayed close to "home". On the drive in I saw a sign for a community yard sale just a few blocks away. Cordelia and I were up early and after she finished her 1st breakfast ( a bowl) of cereal we headed to check out the yard sale. We spent a grand total of $1.50!

I wasn't looking for anything in particular but found these few gems-healthy toes-toe stretcher, twlight, chutes and ladders and a small flower saucer! I was most excited about the toe stretchers, which sounds a bit torturous but is apparently supposed to be really go for you. I see them advertised in my yoga magazine and they've caught my eye several times. They usually run around $30.00 but I was able to get these for a $1 and got the book and flower saucer for free. I had already read the twilight series (before it was all the rage) when I was pregnant with Cordelia. But I had borrowed the first two books and have always thought to add them to the last two books in the series I own.

Before we left to check out the garage sales Grand-Mom had promised eggs and bacon for breakfast. We were only gone about an hour but half way through Cordelia complains that she wants to leave before Ben eats all the eggs and bacon! She cracks me up.

Once breakfast was done we headed to the beach. On the way we stopped to check out a thrift store
(I found some great jeans) and Ben and Cordelia noticed a little amusement place that had go karts. So Cordy and I hoped in one and Ben in another and we were off! So much fun!

By the time we reached Rehoboth beach and found parking-it was suprisingly busy- it was lunch time so we stopped at a place called Nicola Pizza. The service was great and the food was yummy.

We were finally ready to head to the beach. It wasn't that warm out, though there were plenty of people in bathing suits so I figured we would just pull up our pants and just dip our feet in the sea. After a few minutes and Cordelia thoroughly enjoying it Ben suggested Cordy put her bathing suit on. I figured she'd be okay without it. Well I ate my words with the very next wave. Cordelia decided she didn't want to run away from it and she got soaked up to her waist!

Needless to say out came her bathing suit! And this is when I realized I hadn't put her change of clothes in our bag. DOH!
Cordelia sassing the waves!
After getting soaked it was times for ice cream and to head home for dinner. Cordelia had to travel home toga style with a towel wrapped around her waist, but she was thrilled that she got carried back to the car and didn't have to walk.

Cordelia was wiped out!
Once we got back we helped get dinner ready and relaxed while it cooked. We traveled home on Sunday after hanging out with Grand-Mom and Uncle Joe in the morning and enjoyed lunch with them. Thanks for having us!
